a few things i did.. found foam padding that was about 1/2inch thick.. cut this to match the base between the bolsters to prevent the sagging look of our older foam (especially the driverside). then i also used polyester filling/ stuffing to fill some of the gaps in the bolsters to stiffen them up and make increase padding. i started with the base then the upper bolster/back and did the insert last. if you do the back insert first you can overtighten it and create large gaps between the middle and the bolsters. i added rods made out of heavy duty coat-hangers in some places where the grey inserts were missing but the leather was folded over and stitched. another thing that saved A LOT of time was using an EXACTO knife. worked great for cutting right thru the leather. worked better than a regular box blade. for the most part i added material where i could to increase durability and fullness. anot sure if this helps but those were a few of my tricks. BTW everything i used was purchased at a local hobby arts/crafts store. good luck and take your time :)
